Re: Power Wednesday
Morning all and sundry forumeers. Off to the garden centre for some potting compost and then cooking a fry up for lunch. Visiting friends for coffee this afternoon before collapsing in front of the fire with the papers for an hour before teatime. Phew, I sometimes wonder how I find time to cram it all into my day...Re: Power Wednesday

Re: Power Wednesday
Cloudy and chilly here, 5 C (41 F), another big rain storm coming by late evening and supposed to rain all day tomorrow with flooding in ow lying areas. Fortunately I'm very high, no worries there. Stabbed hand scabbing over nicely! No news really.Re: Power Wednesday
In between the rain and hailstones, went walking and after dinner spent an hour or so tying my daffodils up-been battered and flattened by the wind! Then did one of my 'hate jobs' and went shopping to Matalan for new joggers for dog walking...managed to get the last two pairs in my size, so was happy with that. Then spent rest of afternoon chatting and drinking tea with my friend.....Re: Power Wednesday
I know how you feel about your tax Losos. Back in the early 80's when gold prices hit the roof, the boss had to let 3 of us go (out of 6 employees) through no fault of his own. I was lucky enough to find another position after 2 weeks and handed my new employer all my work and tax documents, imagine my surprise when I opened my first pay packet and found I was on 'Emergency Tax' (taxed on everything over a fiver). I had to borrow money from my Parents to survive with a Wife and 2 children. It took them 3 Months to find out what they already knew (my tax free allowance). They gave it back in dribs and drabs over another 10 weeks, talk about being hopping mad, is it any wonder People lose their temper with these officials.
