Make sense of this

Council came round last week to hoover up the fallen leaves, did all the lawns and grassy areas and the paths.

Came back today and with a leaf blower blew all the leaves they left on the flower and shrub borders onto the grass and lawns.

Is it just me or was that wrong way round

Nah! Sounds about right for the council.

Our Greenkeepers tell me that you must blow the leaves off the grass, which they do most days, because the worms come up, under the leaves, and ruin the sward.

Like a gardener I saw blowing leaves off a grass verge onto the road. A car drove past and a lot of them were back.

Why did the council blow the leaves onto the grass after they'd cleared it

Re: Make sense of this

I have sat and watched council workers leaf blowing and collecting in high winds. Hilarious.

I've seen a gardener blowing a heavy leaf fall from one end of the garden to the other then collect them up.

Our council doesn't do any of that. They cut the grass and that's about it

We have to pay for them to do it, service charges aren't cheap.

You should fork the leaves into your borders and beds to improve the soil conditions

We don't have borders we can do that to primus it's all done by the council. We used to all do a border each but last year council took them all back to get a more uniformed look to the gardens. Can't blame them when some were making a real pigs ear of theirs.
