Broadband speeds are we getting VFM ?

Staying as impartial as I can, speeds can very for a number of reasons, Server speeds, clutter / cache needs clearing off your PC, positioning your router for best results.

If your speed drops after 4:15 Monday to Friday, School age people logging on.

Check your speeds if in doubt, I use http://www.broadband.co.uk/broadband-speed-test/ but although this pings in the UK results may vary.

This is the place that BT engineers use when testing broadband speeds. Much simpler to use Manxman

The speed is also shown on the bottom right of the task bar, two monitors picture/icon. Hover the mouse over it. I am getting 4.15mb/sec now.

Value is another question. I told talktalk I was unhappy they were putting my monthly charges up to £14.99 and that I would move if they did. (I was paying £12.99)

After a lot of e mails and a few telephone calls, I got £9.99 18-month contract with the first three months free. Quite a saving!

Check in this site, you can compare all the different speeds in the market!
