My daughter lives near San Fran and we visited the PrisonWe went in Al Capone;s Cell
The whole place is dire and nothing like the Prisons in the UK, which are like Hotels in comparison.
The Prison generates a very good revenue with thousands of fee paying visitors each year.

In UK these days, prisoners get treated very well and often the victim gets ignored.
