Shopping spree!
Something I don't do often - my shopping is usually limited to the boring 'housekeeping' type - but I was given some vouchers at Christmas time and friends have been kind enough to give me money for my birthday - so - had a lovely time in town today.Bought - a mulberry coloured velvet evening skirt, a black beaded blouse - very "House of Elliot" - and some black lacy undies. Needed all of those for night out on Friday - as I had absolutely nothing to wear (Ha Ha Ha )
We had lunch at a carvery - roast beef, yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, cauliflower cheese and a large glass of merlot
. Delicious !!Going to have a cup of tea and a 'trying on' session - that should make the cats laugh!
good to see you have recovered from the tummy ache,the skirt and blouse sound lovely just my kind of thing.

Yes, ST, it sounds like you had a perfect day! The meal sounded much nicer than the French one! Your new clothes sound lovely too!!I hate clothes shopping as everything l try on looks awful! Then l catch a glimpse of myself in those three way mirrors and shout, ‘Look at that stomach...and that nose seems to be getting longer, you old woman’!)
Disgusted at the sight of myself, l quickly take the item of clothing off, smile sweetly at the sales assistant and say, ‘They didn’t suit’!
I get home and l don’t look as bad in the mirrors here!
Why do shop mirrors lie? It’s cruel!
