February Storm 2011

It's here! It's here! The storm of the year rolled in after midnight and dumped a whopping 1/2" of snow. It made driving slippery but nobody got stuck. LOL I must admit it was beautiful to see all the shrubbery and trees laced with snow. Actually this is my idea of the perfect storm because you get some nice pictures and by 10 in the morning the skies are blue and the melting has begun.

Isn't that pretty with the blue skies Bob? Are they from your window or balcony?

No, actually they're from my back yard next to the mail boxes. You can see them in the second photo along the right edge. The apartment complex sits down off the road with a clear view of the sky there. The lighting was wrong or I would have included the pond in my back yard. The resident Mallard ducks looked out of place waddling in the snow.

Oh I see ........ I do love it when you post those clear photos of your mallards. I love them and have china mallard ornaments all over my bungalow, inc doorstops, teapots. Glad the snow wasn't as bad as forecast.

Re: February Storm 2011

You're very welcome. You have no idea what a blessing it is to have the ducks and migrating geese in my own back yard. I just go down two flights of stairs and out the back door to my little piece of paradise. It wasn't an accident that I chose this place to possibly spend the remainder of my life.
