Absolutely loved it

I was born in 64 , so too young really to remember them as a live band, but I've grown up with their music and love it

It was mass hysteria, what a shame George and John died so young and Brian Epstein too. Watching the very end when they were singing on the roof brought tears to my eyes, they really were so special

Re: Eight days a week

I was never a fan of the early Beatles, preferring, for example, the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, but the Mop-Tops were a global pop music phenomenon who couldn't be ignored so, like every other teenager, I knew all the songs.

I think Ron Howard's film, more than most, captures the context of those songs and the performances that drove the Beatles to seclusion.

There weren't (thankfully) too many talking heads but some were surprising young concert-goers - Whoopi Goldberg and the lovely Sigourney Weaver .....

"Eight Days A Week" is now preserved for posterity .....

I enjoyed it. I was at the tail end of the Beatles but still like most of their stuff. I thought the film (directed by the superb Ron Howard) was excellent and more interesting than most documentaries about them due to the re-worked old footage.

Re: Eight days a week

I think there might be some confusion over the original Eight Days a week and the documentary shown recently.
