Dads Army to guard our borders!
The plans under consideration are for "Border Force Special Volunteers" to be used at small air and sea ports.
I am going to volunteer...I am just imagining the backhanders I will receive at our small local airfield for ignoring the offloading of illegal swarthy types and the odd kilo of nose snorting powder.
I am ready..where do I sign ?

It's a bit insulting calling them dads army, many are going to be expolice or exarmy people we really can rely on to do the job if they say they will they will.Bound by serving queen and country I'd trust them over someone paid to do a job.

Will we get a gun do you think? A pitchfork might be ok against a dinghy full of swarthy immigrants but not against an aircraft...I vote we get guns and a new uniform, suggestions for the design would be appreciated.Oh! We will need a band, all quasi military organisations have a band, if its good enough fir the Salvation Army.....
