Friend came round today with her new dog, luckily they all got on OK, but it's a breed I've never encountered before a Russian toy terrier, gorgeous foxy red similar to size of a chihuahua slightly longer hair and bat like ears. Anyone else met one ? I've never even seen one at crusts I don't think.
I've not heard of the Russian Toy either, so had to have a look at one. They really do look very similar to a chihuahua. The ears are quite something!
Hard to believe they were bred as a rat fighter being so small! Apparently they can also be very vocal!
It's the same with cats although when I took Sox to the vets (she is a cross Rag Doll Maine Coon cat) he told me off and said she would never be healthy. I inherited her otherwise she would have been homeless but he still told me off.
Is it the same with dogs maybe they should stop cross breeding?
