Boxing Day Sales

Did anyone go to the sales today?

I never have done before, but today I was on my own, so decided to have a ride out.

Quite glad I did, because I got a new Bosch washing machine with £249 knocked off!
Hope it's alright. I've never had anything Bosch before.
They are bringing it Friday.

That's reassuring Meg, thank you.

You are the second person today to tell me that, Jazzi.
A friend of mine was saying some people were going at 4.30 a.m.
They must want their head examined!

Re: Boxing Day Sales

Thankfully I don't need anything badly enough to justify me getting up at 4am and queue in the cold for it.

Re: Boxing Day Sales

Hi

Did a bit of online shopping yesterday, going to Argos to collect today.

Then comes the fun bit, a flatpack ward to build and some electronics to connect up.

Re: Boxing Day Sales

I have never been to the Sales in my 79 years, the very thought is awful, I hate shopping even when it is quiet, dealing with crowds would be my nightmare. Nor do I do sale shopping on the internet. I only buy when I need to replace something - certainly not for pleasure or on impulse.

Re: Boxing Day Sales

I wouldn’t mind, but they’re using petrol to drive from East London to Lakeside. Hardly a saving, is it?
