I'm volunteering on Christmas Day...
...at our local Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa's order) There is a mass at 3:30, then they feed the homeless a big Christmas meal, hand out presents and clear up afterwards.I'm hoping my hands have healed enough by then otherwise I'll just be going to the Mass.
They are a very friendly order of nuns who work with the homeless year round - they also have space for around 10 men who can't get alternative accommodation and they can stay for a month or so.
I've been there for Mass and a meal before but it was around 20 years ago now.

That is really nice Ffosse. I hope you enjoy the experience. My friendīs son does every Christmas for "Crisis" in London. He really enjoys it and say he has heard so many sad but interesting stories. However he was sent on a training course before he was allowed to be a volunteer.I hope you enjoy your time too.
