initial marking surgeon - will it put you off the NHS ?

fear of initial marking surgeon 15.12.17

not at all nervous

the NHS in me is imprinted

time and dedication absolutely marvelous

NHS is a tattoo that is minted.

a surgeon that went rogue

down your spine is a shiver

on my NHS i state this is not vogue

not even tempted to analyze my liver.

not prepared for any bungs

confident not needed is a chart

i would feel the imprint on my lungs

the surgeon touched my heart.

no mathematics

put away the calculator

the NHS is not run by fanatics

total faith in the argon beam coagulator.

thank you metro for marking

i'm not opposing to be controversial

the other side needs sparking

any bad word to the NHS makes me emotional.

Tell you what...if I was at death's door and fortunate enough to be gifted a new liver and a new lease of life by the NHS, it wouldn't bother me if the clever surgeon branded his flipping telephone number on it!!!
A bit of light relief was probably the only thing in his mind and any talk of striking him off is ludicrous.
Of course, if his work is generally crap that's quite another thing...

I think I agree with you Ruthio, it's obviously not right but I'm not sure I'd care. I hear some stories from Nathan's portering job, things that would raise the hairs on your head, they have a dark humour at the hospital and a daft one too. Anything to lighten the load.

I heard of this as a news item but do not know the specific details, but wonder if it is the same case that was revealed in 2013 ?
Thinking ahead, maybe he has done it so that in the event of further organ donations , it will be easier to be tracked should the liver possibly be used again.

Just a thought.

I had half my liver removed thirty years ago, it would not have bothered me in the slightest had the surgeon initialed the remainder. i believe the liver is the only organ which regenerates, so often wonder whether the left lobe of mine regrew?
