A terrible tragedy.

Hi

A stolen car, youngsters dead.

Whatever their stupidity, they did not deserve this.

Re: A terrible tragedy.

Very sad indeed Swimmy, a 12 year old, two 15 year olds, a 28 year old and 29 year old killed, with two 15 year olds in custody. What a waste of young lives, and what heartache five families are going through.

I spotted that too summer ...it seems unclear.
Two of the victims were 24 and 28 years old.

Were the two 15 year olds driving? So far it says they're been held in custody on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
If they were I have little sympathy for them. What for them was perhaps just a lark has cost lives.

Re: A terrible tragedy.

It transpires that all five were packed into the Clio. What sickens me is the fact that dozens of people held a "vigil" for thes car thieves. That is what they were Thieves!

A few years ago my d-i-l witnessed three youths, helmetless, on a moped, no lights, come out of a side road straight into the path of a lorry. She and her friend had to go to court as witnesses. The intimidation from the deceased relatives was unbelievable. The lorry driver had to be in disguise because his life had been threatened and my d-i-l and her friend had to have a police escort to and from the court. All due to the relatives of the yobs.

Re: A terrible tragedy.

Afraid I can't dredge up much sympathy for them then.

Reminds me of the boy racer who ended up on his roof in my neighbours front garden and the fire brigade had to come and cut him out.
He'd just passed his driving test half an hour earlier and was racing home with his mate.

Re: A terrible tragedy.

No sympathy from me to them or their parents.

Bring up your children in respect for others.

Fell sorry for the car owner.
