Re: poor bloke

Hi

Unfortunately a sign of the times.

The older you are, the more they see you as an easy mark.

Re: poor bloke

What a sad way for a courageous war veteran to end his days beaten by some miserable creature.

Re: poor bloke

I agree. What low life.
Poor old chap. I do hope he recovers.
Trouble often is with things like this, medics can only mend the physical injuries, they are not so good with the fear and emotional injuries that remain.

Re: poor bloke

Such a cowardly attack on a 96 year old that fought for the scumbag that attacked him. It annoys me to think that if the scum had done it sixty odd years ago, Jim might have mashed the attacker to a pulp.

Just goes to show what sort of society we live in nowadays.
The poor man.
At least in days-gone-by, no harm to pensioners was sacrosanct to crims, especially in the underworld of hardened criminals. It would have been like attacking their own grandparents. A definite No No!.

I hope the (correct use of one of Uncle Joe's favourite words) Scumbag - who did this, will get his comeuppance in one form or another.

Re: poor bloke

I sincerely hope that's true Swimmy that's if he goes to jail

Mr Booth the gentleman who was assaulted was part of a top-secret team of submariners who slipped into the waters off Normandy to scout the beaches, during World War Two.
