The taps left on Sunday.

Good morning everyone

Quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack,

Translated means, OK you can turn the tap off now the ponds full. Yes folks it is still wet out there.

That does mean that today we are lunching at home and keeping the fireside company.

Have a great day everyone and if you venture out smile at everyone you see and give your face some exercise.

Re: The taps left on Sunday.

Not too bad here in Sherwood this morning, still breezy but the rain seems to have cleared in the night. The hound has been walked so after coffee I might try to carry on with repairing my fences.

Try to have a good day and be careful out there!

Good morning everyone!

Another overcast day but still dry and mild. I do sympathise with all those whose ground is still waterlogged. Annual rainfall for Bristol and Somerset in 2010 was one of the lowest figures on record – with only 1921 and 1933 being drier in the past 100 years.

Have a good day all!

Good morning all! I had stomach pains yesterday and spent the whole day sleeping. Guess that's what the old body needed. I feel better today.

It's Superbowl Sunday here so I'll likely be glued to my chair in front of the tv again today. No chips & dip for me though as I'm watching the snacks lately. I've got some ice cold diet green tea and maybe popcorn if I must munch on something. Have a great day all!

'morning AB and everyone.

At last I can look out of my study window and see green grass and not white snow, surely Spring must be just around the corner

Best wishes to you all and whatever you are doing take care.

Good morning everyone - Its not too wet here today, but its still a bit windy. I have noticed that the birds in the garden seem to be getting busier and a bit more noisy.

Sunny and milder, 4 C (39 F) now before lunch, and may make 8 C this afternoon... very welcome! It was a year ago today we had the blizzard and 24' snow, as all the weatherpeople are reminding us. Had a lie-in, just planning a lazy day with papers and crossword.

Trying to ignore all the Super Bowl hoopla, NOT a sports fan!

Re: The taps left on Sunday.

Walking this morning, caught up with few jobs and then my Sister came early afternoon and stayed for tea. Took her home around 7pm in the lashing rain - roads were dreadful-lots of them flooded, so what was a 20min drive took me about around 45 mins!!! Going to take some time for the water to clear.........
