Nominate a Museum.

Which is the best you`ve been to.
My contenders are:

The British Museum - apart from the cafe which is pants.
It has a crazy collection of odd objects, including a Temple.

The V&A which has a wonderful British Garden Sculpture section and courtyard I`d like to live in, and Pre-Raphelite ceilings. The lighting is dreadful though.

Which would you recommend?

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, absolutely stunning!

I agree Plantman, it's an amazing museum, we went there 5 years ago and spent much of the time viewing Tutankhamun Exhibit. You really need a couple of days to appreciate it.

I submit the Evergreen Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. Their collection of all things avionic is impressive, including the "Spruce Goose".

The Natural History Museum,
London.

I took my sons there when they were little and lost one for a while. I eventually discovered him transfixed in fascinated horror at a particularly graphic display on tropical diseases with large full colour photos.

Just a quick question, are the museums and art gallerys in the UK admission free?, they are over here.

Yes, apart from special Exhibitions. They do ask for donations but it isn`t compulsory.
