Rugs

I like a nice rug myself.
They are no good for a hallway - They do a runner
They come in all shapes and sizes, deep pile, shag pile etc.
There are Fur rugs, that hang around ponds.
However, I have seen notices advertising RUG DOCTOR! It might be a place to take your rug, if it is infested with Rug Rats!

Do you like a nice rug?

Re: Rugs

I have two rugs in my hall, one is a runner down the longest part and then where the hall opens out a square rug , matching of course . I decided against carpeting the hall because of dog paddling in and out .
Ive been looking round to replace my present ones now 3 yr old , but not seen any that have took my fancy .
Also looking for a large one for my living room ..

Re: Rugs

Not really, we only have a very small one upstairs in the second bedroom where we have laminated floor, it came from Tunisia and we had it shipped over to us, cost us a lot of money, but we have had it for 20 years and it still looks like new.

Re: Rugs

I've just bought a huge one for the bedroom to replace a ratty carpet, it's so big it should fit wall to wall

We have rag rugs and knitted rugs all over the place so Elsie doesn't slip, and in case of little chihuahua accidents which are easier to deal with if the floor covering can go in the washing machine.

Never really fancied a Rug, a bald patch is more natural.

Covered our bald patch in the carpet with a rug, too much siting in front of the TV. I have one in the sun lounge too, bought for the living room but it didn't look right so I got another for that room.

Re: Rugs

All the rugs I have (except for one) are washable cream long pile cotton chenille ones. They have to be washable and tumble dry because I have two dogs. I can just about fit one into the washing machine and they will also drape on the settees and armchairs (the dogs get everywhere). I have quite a number of them and use them in rotation.

Re: Rugs

My mum and step-dad liked expensive rugs dotted about the place. Very expensive and so they cossetted them and asked you not to walk on them.

I felt like spiderman visiting their house.

Re: Rugs

Have wall-to-wall carpets in lounge & bedroom on top of underfelt - a condition of tenancy to have adequate sound insulation, so rugs are unnecessary.

Show off

You can lose things in rugs.
