Do you buy Christmas presents for yourself?

I do - I love to treat myself in spite of the presents I get from friends & family.

From October onwards if I see anything I like, I buy it for myself and put it in a box at the bottom of the wardrobe. So far I've got 2 necklaces, 1 pair of earrings, a paperback thriller and a hardback History of the 20th Century book. A willow tree angel and some Manuka honey face cream.

I hope to add to it over the next month.

It's not too late to start treating yourself.

No, I don't Carol. Do you wrap each present up for yourself

I buy one thing for myself and pretend it's from my dog-I'm sure he'd get me something if he could! Am I mad?I don't think so whatever people may think.

I never know what to get and would probably end up taking it back.

I don't go to a lot of trouble with the wrapping. I just wrap tissue paper round them so I can't see what it is.

I've already forgotten what one of the necklaces looks like but I know I'm going to love it.

Yes I do some years.

A new CD by a favourite artist. A paperback book. Toiletries, maybe.

Have been looking for this year.

If I don't get the pup this side of Christmas, I'll make a nice display of putting the fibre optic tree on a table by the window, and put the presents on the side. Once I get the dog that area will be wholly taken up by the run and everything in it!

I kind of like this idea. I will shop the boxing day sales and put it away for next year. By that time I will forget what I bought and it will be a surprise or two indeed.

No, I don't.
I much prefer to give rather than receive, it gives me the gift of seeing peoples delight, that is enough for me.
