Ken Dodd 90

Ken Dodd celebrating his 90th birthday. Still performing up to 4 hours per show.Not everybodies favourite, but i think he is great. Not a single swear word. I think its his delivery and his off the cuff joke or remark that makes him or has made him.
I have never seen him live but I gather its not wise to have been drinking before sitting down .I gather he covers 50000 miles a year doing shows. He started his professional life before some on here were even born

Didn't I read some where that's its catching up with him now and he delivers his show sat down?

yes he did in a show I think this year. he once told 1500 jokes in 3 1/2 hours

I think he’s brilliant! I love him!
I didn’t always think that, until l went to see him in two shows about five years ago.
In his eighties then and he was throwing out the funniest jokes, one after the other, non stop!
I laughed so much and he kept us in the theatre until well after midnight!!

I like Ken Dodd and he used to be my Mum’s favoutite comedian too. I only ever saw him on stage once and that was in a Christmas Pantomime, Cinderella many years ago, managed to get his autograph too. As Norway said, good clever humour without the need for swear words.

We went to see him once, many years ago. I think it was at the London Palladium. He was so funny and the whole audience loved him.
No bad language or smut needed to get laughs with a true comedian.

Saw him live in New Brighton about 3 years ago, flew over esp. We laughed and laughed and laughed We did sneak out after 3 hours though as we were getting sore from being sat so long. I did hear he lasted 5 hours
