What's the Farthest Distance You Have Driven in a Day? Where?

Tomorrow I am making a 1,000 mile drive with my daughter (who doesn't drive) from Florida to the great state of Kansas in about 15.5 hours, with two stops at five hour intervals.

We have it down to a science and it's always an adventure.....

That is some drive.

I do Calais to Poland , 840 miles in a day, but it has to be done at exactly the right time of day to avoid the traffic jams.

It is helped by the fact that there is no speed limit for part of the journey.

500 miles in 7 hours with lots of small 10 minute stops The traffic in England is horrendous and it’s very easy to get tired with the stop start driving

Leaving Prees has to be timed.

You leave at 6 pm, miss the traffic, Dover in 4 hours.

A short sleep over, up for the early Ferry, past Brussels and away you go.

Calais to Madrid, just under 1000m in 17hrs.

Depends on the type of driving to be done, a 150 mile drive in dear old Blighty can take 5 hours in moderate traffic conditions where, on an Autobahn or Freeway, 500 miles in the same time frame is perfectly possible.

Only 6 hrs. to Devon every year for holiday.

500 miles at least twice a year, when we lived in the North of Scotland and brought the children down to visit grandparents. The first time we did the trip was when our son was two. So two kids and a dog, down for a week and then the reverse journey home.

3-4 hours is my maximum. London to Lowestoft, and back, or London to Bournemouth, and back. The last journey did take 4 hours one year and I was exhausted.
