The tooth fairy who knew lol

Tooth fairy called here last night, Gracie woke up as the tooth was taken away to find Elsie the lab was pinching it and ate it !

So there is a tooth fairy her name is Elsie and she's a Labrador.

She didn't leave any money though that seemed to be our job still.

I don't think I could even if I tried to fill her up, she's a typical greedy lab, at least she's stopped eating poop I really thought that habit was with her for life !

Our Lab never ate poop, but he once pinched a frozen turkey off the worktop, he swallowed a whole dead rabbit, complete with fur, he pinched sandwiches off fishermen as he lolloped past them, complete with plastic bags, all went down. He once ate food that had just been put down on some caravan steps for a little Yorkie, he didn't even stop to sniff, just ate it as he passed by without stopping. They really are the most greedy dogs. Not at all like madam ChoCho who sniffs everything she's offered for five minutes before trying it, she's not going to be poisoned

Looking back Elsie came from a filthy home, I think she was used to seeing her mum clear up after the pups so assumed that was what a dog had to do. It took well over two years to teach her that wasn't her job we could do it for her.

It's amazing what pups can learn so early on.

My Lab is also a walking dustbin, it's got so bad and she's cost me so much money up the vets with bad tummies that the rule now is...if she's off the lead, she's muzzled

I've even had to weave rope between the gaps in the muzzle as she was still able to suck up liquefied dead animals

She has eaten a whole pheasant, not ripped it apart but swallowed it whole, like a sword swallower

And shortly after that she found a carrier bag full of manky chicken pieces (all individually wrapped) that some idiot had chucked in some bushes. The stink of that chicken.........she managed to eat about 10 pieces before I could get it off her. She then proceeded to throw it all up once home. Just as well it was wrapped up as I'm sure she would have ended up with some kind of food poisoning.

The joys of Lab ownership

A neighbour's staff once chewed her way through a mattress to get to a discarded bone.
