Trick or treat

I'm not sure I know the difference. I understand a treat is sweets or money, but what is a trick?

I just gave them a pound coin, two little girls, but that's all I'm giving tonight.

Re: Trick or treat

If it's a couple of rascals at your door the trick could be a couple of eggs thrown at your window

Re: Trick or treat

Ah, good job I live one floor up. They were with their mothers so I doubt they would have got up to much trickery.

Hi

A few littlies round, all dressed up, all good fun and all with adults hovering in the background.

One littlie could not stop giggling and had a small basket for you to put some sweets in.

Re: Trick or treat

For the first time in years I have had trick or treaters. 4 very polite children & a Parent who kept in the background. The kids looked good in their costumes too. Luckily I had bought a packet of lollies & other sweets so I was able to treat them. They all thanked me & wished me a happy halloween.
