Hallowe'en

My granddaughter has just sent me a photo of the cake she has made for Hallowe'en, I thought I would share it with you (not the cake!)

Can you guess what it is?

A brain?

Mags, It looks like Heinz spaghetti on the top but it wouldn’t be if it’s a cake.... would it?!

Yes it's a brain Art and I also thought it was covered in spaghetti but it's actually a sponge cake cut to an oval(ish) shape, and what looks like spaghetti is piped icing around it with strawberry jam brushed over the top

I thought her piping was very neat too

Re: Hallowe'en

Oh yes - my daughter made one last year. There is a recipe somewhere. She and the kids ate half and sent the other half to her ex.

Here's the recipe

Re: Hallowe'en

It´s very nicely done, but I don´t think I could be tempted to eat it, it looks too realistic

That's just how I feel Loretta but if I was offered a slice I couldn't very well refuse as I may hurt her feelings
