Turkey and Tinsel treat for Wifeys Birthday.

It was Wifeys birthday yesterday, and me being possibly The Best Hubby in this whole damn world,
I booked this Turkey and Tinsel holiday treat for her with Shearings.
No expense spared!
We arrived here yesterday on her birthday at 5.30pm.
Then straight for evening meal followed by very good entertainment.
We are now in our second day and are not long back from Teignmouth for lunch.
At the moment I am on my IPad taking time out to ask my over fifties friends what they think of these types of themed holidays.
This hotel in Torquay is all very nicely done out in Christmas stuff.

The pretence is that today (Tuesday) is Christmas Eve.
Tomorrow is Christmas Day and Thursday is New Years flipping Eve!
Father Christmas is visiting the hotel Christmas Day, and of course we will have Turkey and all the stuffings and trimmings that go with it.
We travel home on Friday.
In the meantime My Sister and Hubby are staying at our home looking after the place and having a nice holiday themselves, so it’s all good.
Any opinions on this type of take off of Christmas and New Year would be appreciated.
Have you ever been on one even?
Off out for a walk around Torquay now.
Cheers.

A lovely though Boozer but I might have had to divorce you if you offered me turkey on my birthday
Enjoy your 'Christmas'.

Erm, lovely thought and all that Boozy. Each to their own though.
Fake 'Christmas' in October or November does nothing for me.
Christmas in December is bad enough

Boozie, Yes a lovely gesture but who chose the Turkey and Tinsel break?
Please tell me, you asked your wife first what she would like and that it wasn’t you, who really wanted to go there!!

I feel the same Pesta! Christmas is nice for the Kids, but I could happily do without it!

Good for you for having such a nice break, Christmas-themed or not.

The break sounds nice. I personally wouldn’t like a turkey and tinsel break

Many many moons ago when I was in my 20s, my fella at the time ( who was in his 50’s) booked one of these beaks to woolacombe , I was the youngest by at least two decades lol. Actually if you could escape the evening entertainment it was a good value for money break.

I once had a cider-induced day's blackout in Weston-Super-Mare.
