Sad Tail of a Failed Witch - Part 3
THE SAD TALE OF THE FAILED WITCHPart three
Hallow’s Eve is here again,
and the frogs eyes are a-stewing
in a cauldron full of bats blood,
for the magick spell I’m brewing.
The spiders are spinning cobwebs
to adorn my new pointed hat,
my besom is all foul and filthy -
I’ve even poured soot on the cat.
I’ve done all that I can think of
that is nasty evil and mean
for, you see, I’m quite determined
to enjoy this Hallowe’en !
I’ve tied the cat’s tail to the bedpost
so he can’t interfere with my fun -
should be well on my way to the revels
before he gets it undone !
The brew is bubbling nicely,
let’s have a generous tot,
then leap astride the broomstick
for a little practice hop.
Just a minute - something’s not right.
That cat’s got a knowing grin
and my stomach is starting to feel
as though it’s sides are caving in!
Oh Snakes! It’s not just my stomach!
Help! Quick, somebody find me a loo!
That rotten, evil, moggy
has put cascara in my brew!
Must dash … see you next year !
