In my case, I have 25,000 tracks, so I would need at least a 1TB storage device or I would have to buy 1TB of cloud storage (if my calculations are correct).
Luckily, External Hard Drives are cheap nowadays (£50 or so) and cloud storage is about £8 pm for 1TB, but I would need both to ensure the safety of my collection.
However, I wonder how long it would take to convert, say, 1000 CDs to lossless .....

We are just planning a new storage system for our CDs and DVDs, we'd be lost without them, I've recorded them all onto an sd stick but still prefer to put one in the machine and sit down to enjoy it. Still regret getting rid of our lps and 45s but we had no record player and couldn't get one at the time. Maddingly they are making a come back ! So we could have kept them.Love Alfie and Michael too mags they always look so happy together too and sound great.
