Lady Luck has pee'd on my parade, once again.

If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

I was supposed to be giving a dog a loving home from tomorrow....they brought him to see us and inspect the house....all was agreed(a bit of extra fencing was needed(not) because my neighbour has chickens. So today I spent over £200 making my garden extra secure....a bit of overkill, really but, if it meant getting the dog it would be worth it.

Today I have text and rang the people who have him....no bloody answer....this is now the second time I have been let down.

I think I'll get a hamster instead.

Settle down now.... they might be away or out for the night or even have an unexpected crisis.

Tomorrow is tomorrow not today or tonight

Get a pet rock, they don't attack chickens, don't need fences and are a damn sight cheaper to feed.

Not only that but the vet bills are very reasonable too.

They have a Private Rock at the military prison in Colchester.

Some lucky soul gets chosen to look after him.

Got to laugh at that Bruce.... many many years ago a newspaper had on the front page a chap walking along pulling a brick on a piece of string.
He said it was cheaper walking a brick than having a dog

Pesta's right, Tpin.

All might be fine tomorrow.

Worst come to worst, at least the fencing is done now ready for a future dog, so your effort won't have been wasted.

The fencing was fine......but it looked like there is a big gap.

We have a big Beech hedge that runs the entire length of the garden.

The previous owner(next door)put 500mm high chicken wire along it to prevent his dogs escaping.

The guy who brought Charlie thought there was some missing and tbh so did I.

Only when I'd bought the fencing, rolled it and cut to required length did we notice it was complete and we didn't really need it......so it was a waste.....never mind.
