how to get someone worried

My favourite way is with motorists. Just as they are getting into a car

Me " have you seen your back wheel?" pointing to it.

Of course they get out and have a look

"What wrong with it" the usual reply

Me "nothing wrong with it, just thought if you havn't seen it I will describe it to you"

At this point I run like hell

The one I know, and have tried, is done just as someone begins to set off in their car.

You point at a wheel and turn your finger in a circle. They stop and open their window, and ask what's wrong.

"Your wheel!"

"What about it?" (in a worried voice).

"It's going round and round!"

How about freaking out the checkout assistant at Tesco..

Empty the contents of your basket on the conveyor..a rope...a big knife..a diy book on How to lay a patio. A pack of disposable gloves... Keep looking around nervously.
Pay cash..leave...it should freak out most checkout assistant

Phew !! This, I do not understand. Is there some thrill in screwing with a total stranger's mind ? This seems like a kind of mental vandalism.

Americans often don't understand our sense of humour the same as we don't understand theirs. Even UJ knows that

Having been caught out by this ruse on a few occasions, it has now become a bit tyresome.
