Your Old Cameras

Ricohmatic twin lens 6.6 reflex from the 1960's. Near mint and I bought it for £5 as the crank was jammed. Sent it up to a retired Rollei technician who serviced, so it works fully now. Has a built in meter and the focus has a two sided swinging knob for both sides. Just put in an Ilford BW film so wait to see how it performed. Used a light box and Nikon point and shoot....

Must say the build quality is as good as my two Rollei TLRs. Most were sold in Japan and the far east.

Anyone else ?

Re: Your Old Cameras

I was looking at a site ( MPB ) that sells second hand cameras and lenses hoping to get a bargain but they sell them separately and as I have no experience in photography abandoned the idea.

I have an old Minolta Autocord similar to your Ricohmatic Dobra. It is in good condition except for the knob is broken off the focusing lever. I could still used it.

The nearest I have to the above is a Yashicamat 124g - it’s one of my faves

Re: Your Old Cameras

When the Rollei 4x4 TLR came out, I thought it too pricey. However Yashica brought a 4x4 so I bought the top 127 LM model with light meter - much cheaper. Superslides were very good. Then 127 film started to dry up, so I sold it for more than I paid.

Young lad from the camera club haunts boot sales buying them up cheap. Build quality is very good.

And perhaps my favourite 35mm - the Voigtlander Bessa R3M with Nokton 40mm F1.4
