Penalty Charge Notice £70

Today I received a letter demanding I pay a PCN of £70 to be paid before 3rd Oct.

The crime-I failed to pay for crossing the bridge at Dartford.

I genuinely didn't know we had to pay, nor did I see any sign informing of this charge.

The letter was quite blunt and to the point and advising me that it would rise if I didn't pay .....then it explained that if I paid the £3 I owed before the 3 Oct they would quash the PCN of £70....so I logged onto gov.uk paid £3 and the slate was clean.

What nice people

I remember you saying about that Tpin.

Wasn't it on your jaunt to get your van that day?

Glad it's sorted now anyway.

I didn't know you could pay the fee to avoid the fine! Who would pipe up n say 'oh don't worry about the normal crossing charge...I'll just pay the fine, thank you very much!' Lol.

£70.00 quid fine, most folks would have to take out a Bridging Loan!

Folks with Chronic Catarrh suffer enough, without being fined.

Interesting Tpin. I had no idea they gave you the chance to just pay the charge.
