VICTIM of Crime?

As the title suggests - Have you ever been the victim of crime?

(If so, was the Criminal located and arrested)?

I had my wedding ring stolen and I know who it was. Will never see it again though. They owe me money too, which I've accepted (still pissed though) will never see again either. I just made a bad choice and accept that.

Claire that is dreadful. Did you confront them with your suspicions? What on earth did they say about not returning your Wedding Ring???

Yep and the criminal wanted to bring charges against me for assault. The police talked him out of it and asked me to be a little less aggressive in future. lol

Re: VICTIM of Crime?

I never confronted them because it would be denied. They were at a very low place in their life (this is 15 years ago now) and I know it got worse from there. I do hope they were able to turn themselve around, but for my safety (and my kids) it was best to distance myself and accept it as a learning experience (never forget though).

Claire, that is sickening when you know, but have not been able to say so!

If they ever experience anything similar that affects them in this way, they will realise the sadness and pain they caused you.

Re: VICTIM of Crime?

Had an older teenager smart mouth me in public not too long ago & the dragon within flamed. The kid ducked & covered-store manager got me off the brat-all was settled nicely with kid apologing to me and others-Guess he didn't want to be on 5 o'clock news having the crap beat out of him by an old grey haired woman. His buddies would have loved that. chuckle.

Re: VICTIM of Crime?

I had my house burgled a number of years ago and the bungling police force around here failed to nail the culprits even though everyone in the place (including the police) knew who they were.

Were they located and arrested?

Yes they were located but not arrested. Mainly because it was my brother who located them. Nuff said!
