Death on the M.11

I have just heard on the tea-time news that a 60 year old man was killed yesterday on the M.11 in Essex.

He appeared to veer off the lane, into the central crash barrier and police found him dead in his van.

They are treating the death as 'suspicious' though, because a lump of concrete about the size of house brick was found in his vehicle that seemed to have nothing to do with his van.

The police are appealing for anyone on this stretch of road between 4 - 6 pm yesterday or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward, as they are suspecting this concrete was thrown from the bridge above the victim.

They went on to name about 5 other bridges where this has happened.

I remember not far from me when the kids on school holidays were doing this last summer.

Had to Google it. How dreadful! My older sister lives in Stansted Mt Fitchet. We were talking just hours before this took place so obviously not asked her about it.

If the people who do this sort of thing knew that they would hang, perhaps they wouldn't do it.

Good grief, just read this thread. The bridge is about a mile from my daughter's home. How dreadful.
