At a guess I would say that the climate is the condition that is caused by the weather.
If the weather is warm and damp it would cause an atmosphere which is humid for a while, so a humid climate.

Weather is immediate - i.e. yesterday, today and tomorrow, whereas climate describe the weather conditions over a much larger period of time - e.g. a year, a decade or a century.

i would think climate refers to the overall view of what occurs during the year while weather is about what is occurring at present.
