yes
I tried this rig this evening but I didn't set the camcorder for videoing at night to start with.
Then I set the power unit to auto when I should have connected the hand control to slow it down.
So weather permitting might have another go tomorrow now I know what I did wrong
WhatI set out to do was to see how good my camcorder was with the led light on top.
So about 9pm I started the test
Using the motorised panning unit I wanted to see if it was possible to film anyway in the dark and second how far the light beam went and if the camcorder functioned ok.
I was going to try the camcorder just in night mode but it didn't work
This is a section of the video unedited
As you can see that CN-160 led light on top of the camcorder did give enough light for the camcorder to function and for such a small light it did cover quite a distance.
I did say originally it was just a test and me playing silly buggers and now the results are there to see.
Thinking on it if I wanted a ghost scene this might be the answer
