Do You Have A Favourite Cup Or Mug?

Are you like me and have a favourite cup or mug to drink your tea or coffee out of?
Or, aren't you bothered which cup or mug you drink out of?

Here is a pic of my favourite bone china mug. l have had it for fourteen years and l dread, it ever breaking. Luckily, l do have an identical spare one..

PS. It is a right-handed mug!

Re: Do You Have A Favourite Cup Or Mug?

I've had several 'favourite' mugs over the years Art .... but Mr Mags has developed the knack of breaking them

I have some lovely bone china ones which I won't use for fear of him breaking them as well

Re: Do You Have A Favourite Cup Or Mug?

I have got a couple of coffee mugs I like with little summer flowers all over them, they are pretty. Also one with a big bunny rabbit on it, and then a friend of mine gave me another one with a picture of Bedlingtons on it.
So I have several favourites really.

I have a few mugs but they have to be bone china, as I can't drink tea out of a mug/cup that isn't china, but I will drink coffee out of any mug.

I don't have a favourite mug but I have quite a few non-favourite mugs which I can't stand using.

Re: Do You Have A Favourite Cup Or Mug?

Yes, my dinky mugs from Ikea. They hold only 25cl of fluid, and I admit I sometimes make another coffee if thirsty after drinking the one. I have three and am waiting for more to come into stock so I can buy a few. But they're ideal for my 'middle of the night' or 'very early in the morning' drink.

I'll try and get a photo.

The grey cup and saucer is from Wilko. I have 3 sets and use them for tea.

Middle one Ikea 25cl.

And these on the right I bought the other day from Ikea, at £1.50 a set. Have to confess, coffee doesn't look nice served in these. Maybe ideal for hot chocolate?

Use the grey or white ones constantly.

Re: Do You Have A Favourite Cup Or Mug?

Art, I have a favourite mug. It's a lovely white fine bone china mug, (prezzie from nephew visit to Hong Kong.) It is really beautiful and if you hold the mug up to the light, you can see right through it. {either that or I have inadvertently taken in some wacky backy smoke somewhere!) LOL

Seriously, my cuppa would just not be my cuppa without my lovely mug!!
