does editing make that much difference Video wise

The edited version is definitely better. What editing suite did you use?

It depends I suppose on who is doing the editing. (Sorry, can't see your examples).

I remember my sister's wedding video, filmed by a so called professional. It was dire. Certain scenes were filmed for far too long, long enough to get bored watching it (Isn't there a five second rule or something?). Zooming in and out at high speed, unnecessary background noise and a bit wobbly sometimes. I would love to have edited that at the time.
