Bad News
I'm afraid our Dog escaped our Garden yesterday, into what could be considered a hostile environment, we've done all the searching, and informed all the relevant agencies, and it is now a waiting game, as such, I guess the compunction to post here will be much diminished, so I'll apologise for my absence in advance.Best Wishes.

Spitty, I am so sorry to hear your news, but don't give up hope.I my area, if your animal goes missing, they keep a record of any dead or injured animals they have found, so if your council do the same they should be able to tell you if the worst has happened.
Also try your local newspaper to see if they will put a photo of your dog in the paper... just in case anybody has found him wandering.
I once found a white cat walking down the center of my lane, and it had no fear of cars, so I took it home and put a note on the local primary school notice board.. with my phone number. The next day I got a call from a very upset man asking to come and see him. Apparently the cat was deaf and had managed to escape from his garden. He couldn't hide his joy when he and his son came to pick the cat up.
