Re: Brownsea Island Dorset

I used to work in Poole years ago and the company would very generously pay for me to stay in the lovely five star hotels on Sandbanks just by Brownsea Island. Beautiful area. Never got around to getting to the island but it's meant to be stunning and unspoilt with tons of wildlife. Must try to make it one day. Now it's millionaires row, it's probably a lot more touristy there than it was 20 years ago when not many knew of the area.

Yes, I've been there, it's a brilliant place for Red Squirrels & for bird watching.

Birding paradise and home to Red Squirrels, sounds a great place to visit.

Went to Guernsey last year from Poole Harbour. The ferry was great and food very reasonable. Poured down with rain the whole day though.
