Coastal wander
The weekend had fairly decent weather for a change, so it was off to my coastal patch for a nature watch.
Sadly missed the pod of White beaked dolphins from early morning but seawatched for a while in sunny and windfree conditions.
Plenty folk stop and chat its nice to share news and the highlight was a very obliging Little Egret on the rocks, a first for many visitors.
Also proving return migration has started an all too brief sight of 4 Black-tailed godwit.
7 species of butterflly on the wing, mainly Ringlets.
Two day flying moths the most interesting being a Plume moth.
Good mix of wildflowers from Vipers Bugloss to Mignonette, and two Mammals Grey seal and Pygmy Shrew.
