Take away food delivery drivers.

I've noticed that these delivery drivers don't park like normal people park....parallel to the kerb? No.

Half on the pavement, half off....a bit like this.

What's it all about?

I have a 4/5 car drive....but...no, they abandon their car, blocking the pavement.....grrr

Judging by the foreign plate it must be how they all park on the continent...

Then I don't see your point if you didn't witness this? What makes you think this was a delivery driver...? Perhaps I've missed something, subtlety isn't my strong point I'm afraid.

But surely for not very long if they're delivering takeaways. Would you rather you had to wait longer for your delivery (whilst it would be getting colder) to allow the driver to either park properly or find somewhere further away to park?

Read my post again....I'm sure it'll make sense.

We have recently ordered food deliveries....every time the driver has parked across the pavement(like the one in the photo)blocking it.....even though I have a large drive.

I've even seen taxi drivers do it....it's bloody dangerous...it forces pedestrians onto the road.

Dex....the photo is an example of the angle at which they park...obviously I've not been very clear in my post.

It's not a question of them not finding a parking space...it's the way they seem to abandon their car across the pavement.blocking it.

OK Tpin. Point taken. We all know the pressures of the number of drops for multidrop drivers (of which food delivery is a kind). Although unhelpful for other road and pavement users, it's hardly surprising that such employees resort to a quick in and out fix (am sure there's a joke about sexual proclivities here).

Dex, I live on a road that has no vehicles parked on the road, it's a big, wide road with no parking obstructions/restrictions.

Pulling up and stopping is easy...even in what I call a normal manner....in fact it's quicker to pull up, get out, deliver food and drive off...whereas the way these delivery lads park they then have to reverse off, into traffic.

I'm surprised you even blame this on employees
