Human race is doomed if we do not colonise the Moon and Mars, says Stephen Hawking.The human race must start leaving Earth within 30 years to avoid being wiped out by over-population and climate change, Professor Stephen Hawking has warned.

There are numerous other possibilities and many have been in place for some years now.
Problem: Population Growth Rate / Over population
Solution(s):
- Have less children (reduce growth rate)
- Remove some of the existing population (De populate)
- Reduce life span
Practical Applications:
- Increase sterility through chemicals and contamination
- Aggressively encourage/promote gay/lesbian relationships
- Give people cancer and other terminal conditions
- Allow bad food and bad food ingredients to be prevalent (e.g. sugar, salt etc)
- Destroy people's immune systems via vaccinations
(e.g. campaign of fear used to promote the useless flu vaccine)
- Use media to make good foods a taboo and engage in campaigns of fear to stop people eating healthy food
(e.g. don't eat raw eggs, don't drink raw milk, don't eat apricot kernels, stay out of the sun's rays, wholegrains make you fat and bloated etc etc)
There is plenty of land free on planet earth. People will simply spread out further whilst all the above continue to limit the population size.
