CCTV footage shows man hit by bus in Reading

Simon Smith was knocked to the ground by the vehicle while walking along Gun Street. He was able to get back on his feet afterwards and suffered only minor injuries.
Unlucky to be hit, very lucky to get away with a few scratches and bruises .....

The way he gets up and casually walks away.....he should do the Lottery tomorrow.

The bus driver was obviously going too fast or momentarily lost concentration....either way he's bang to rights.

Very lucky to walk away from that with minor injusries but that bus seemed to be going much too fast, I wonder if the driver still has a job...

Unbelievable. I just don't know how he walked away from that. I wonder why no arrests were made? That seems to be the norm these days when someone is hit.

I suppose the video evidence is being scrutinised...careless driving at least...dangerous driving at most.

Thankfully it was a bus that hit him....flat front and low slung saved the day.

The only fortunate thing to me, was that the bus knocked him clear and did not pull him underneath it. I doubt he would have walked away then.

The annoying thing is, he was waiting for the No.12 not the 17
