Re: Shoelaces

I had a pair of shoes with anti-tangle laces. Trouble is, they wouldn't stay tied up.

Nom you can get elastic self tie ones. My trainers I was struggling to tie I put a pair in and they would pretty well turns them into slip ons. You can get them in all colours. It's cheaper than buying new shoes.

Re: Shoelaces

Having read what the link says, I see that they don't mention the cheap quality laces which are endemic these days.

I find that, if I pay a little more for the laces, I cease to have the problem.

Occasionally academics, doing such projects, leave out the obvious.

I got my husband to put mine in, is there anyone could do yours for you, takes but a minute. I'd volunteer him for the job but I have a feeling we aren't close enough to just pop round.

Nom once they are in you don't need to fasten them as such, mine are permanently just twisted together, it's rare I have to retwist them as they stay so well.
