Carol, this thread really made me laugh as l have such 'a chair'!
It has been 'my' chair since l was about 4 years old!
I used to sit on it as a child but when l married, l always kept it in the bedroom to put my clothes of the day, on it!
My ex husband used to refer to it as 'your wardrobe'!
Here's a pic minus my clothes!

I like to hang my clothes up, so right hand side of wardrobe clean stuff, left for anything I can wear again!

My mum's old cane rocker, it served her well in her bedroom for exactly the same reason!

I have two such chairdrobes. One is the typing chair, and the other is the table chair. They both invariably have clothes hanging over the top: trousers and tops that can be worn again, and my shirt and fleece.

Quite often I have a mad tidy up, and only the shirt and fleece are out atm.
