Would You Say, You Are Quite Broad-Minded?

I'm wondering, if many are adamant and say that they are ....yet, if you asked them... 'Would you mind if your daughter's /son's, girlfriend/boyfriend, share the same bedroom under your roof..... would you mind?' I think you might get a different reaction!
So, do you consider yourself broad minded?

I would not allow sleeping in the same bed till 21 years of age. and engaged.
However who knows what they get up to when one's asleep?

I hope I am broad minded and yes my son brought his girlfriend to stay

If he was going to sleep with her he would do so anyway so why not it what was then his home.

Azure, Am I naive to think it is all about trust?
I am quite prudish in some ways but l would allow them to share the same bedroom!
My thinking is, they are safe under my roof and if l didn't allow it, they still would but under another roof!!

Meg, I totally agree with you! Yet some men, (fathers of daughters) l have spoken to, are totally adamant that they wouldn't allow it under tbeir roof!

Art I would have been very hypocritical to refuse considering I 'lived in sin' with my husband to be for two years before we married (not done in the 70's).
When I went to visit Dad we had to stay in a hotel, my stepmother wouldn't let us sleep together in the house not that we would have got up to much there I would have been to inhibited
