Adam West RIP.

Actor Adam West who portrayed Batman in the classic 1960s television series, died Friday night in Los Angeles.

The actor passed away after a short battle with leukemia and was surrounded by his wife, Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

After the ABC show died out, West struggled with his career, but was able to come back with his work on Family Guy.

A very corny series but used to look forward to it every Sunday when we were kids to see how they got out of the cliffhanger at the end of each episode. Holy broken bones Batman!

It wasn't that long ago he was on Through the Keyhole.

He looked great for his age.

That's sad! When l was 17/18 and many of my friends were mad on Batman, we all used to meet up on a Sunday night at a pub that we called the 'Bat Club' in Stratford Upon Avon!
We would come out chanting, 'Da da, Batman!!

I loved the original Batman and still prefer it to today's efforts. I recognised the name Adam west instantly but couldn't say who plays Batman theses days.

I must find some old episodes. I remember it of course but listening to the obituaries did I miss some nuances?
