Dia and negative scanners.
Apart from the old rolls of film that OH bought back from his trip to London he also bought back a whole box of odd negatives.35mm 110 and 126 sized, all mixed up and no idea what was on any of them so just in case it was anything important I bought a cheap/basic negative scanner...
Im amazed....OH always said there were no photos of him as a child and since his father died we manged to find two one is a mere speck in the distance the other a grainy image of him with his dad.
Today I scanned in the negatives and lo and behold there is OH a small boy in swimming trunks on holiday , swimming and mucking about.. As a teenager helping his dad mend the van and one of him with his best friend , photos he never knew had been taken and had never seen.
There are some lovely photos of his dad looking the spitting image of our eldest son and some lovely holiday snaps of his mum looking very film starish in a bright red swimming costume.
A brilliant investment it has given OH something he thought he would never have , a glimpse back to his childhood.
