Baghdad bombing of Ice Cream Parlour

31 people have been killed at a popular ice cream parlour in Baghdad straight after the breaking fast of Ramadan .
It was full of families with children .
IS have taken responsibility they wanted to kill Shias .

Quite simply we respond more to events which are nearer or to people we are familiar with.

I guess a primitive human nature thing. Not our valley not our tribe, not our problem.

Another vile act that deserves our condemnation. I've had to Google it to find out more about it. Reported in several UK based newspapers but not a glimmer on any TV news. According to the papers, there were 17 victims at the ice-cream parlour targeting families and another 14 killed at an office block where people collect their pensions.
