Age gap

I recently had a business meeting with a (single) lady whom I found rather attractive. During the meeting I got the distinct feeling that this might be mutual. Things could well develop and I am wondering about asking her out.

Problem is that she is around 20 years my junior.

Now I don't think dating a 60-something bloke in good working order (as I am) is necessarily a bad thing for a lady in her 40s.

What, however, if things really work out? She could end up in her 60s looking after me in my doddery 80s. Am not sure I want somebody to finish up in that position though of course she is quite capable of making her own decisions.

Ok, perhaps I'm being a bit longtermist about this - but at 61 one maybe has to be.

Thoughts welcome please!

I don't know if that's comforting or not.
