118 118 has breen exposed as a rip off.

simply calling 118118 for a phone number costs a staggering £1.88 for the call but....you are also charged an extra £2-55 per minute.

So for giving you a phone number they charge a minimum £4-32

When the operator asks if you want connecting. .....the cost carries on.

One caller was charged £55-00 for a 15 minute call. Beware.

I have heard about these charges before Tpin, but others may not have.

I will not use 118 because of this.

Yes it's a huge rip off found out first hand a few years ago when a phone call cost me £23 I haven't used them since.

It's scarey for folk who don't realise isn't it . Definately shouldn't be allowed . One poor chap mis dialed a number and a recorded message told him to ring 118 , he did , he was connected to the correct number by them and charged £65 .

Disgraceful . Why isn't this stopped ?

Apparently 118118 have a service that is really cheap but they don't advertise that service.

And now they've started the ultra high interest loans.

I think people should know that you can get this service free from the BT website. If you have a computer there is absolutely no need to use any of the sites that charge you. I have never used any of them.
